I have one minor problem with the game though and that is some of the more difficult tricks for example double kick-flips and 720 flips are very difficult to pull off due to the fact you must move the analog stick in more than one direction as well as hold either R1 or L1 therefore making these tricks harder to preform accurately especially when you are mid combo and travelling at high speed. Passing through each level can take a huge number of attempts as you learn when and when not to continue combos to eventually reach the end but the super quick re-spawn times means you never stop playing. At first i found it difficult to get used to the totally unique controls but once i overcame the learning curve the game felt sharp, yet fluid and effortless. In one word its beautiful although challenging. However whilst looking i came across this gem of a game. ![]() So i decided to look on the PlayStation store to see if i could download it on my PlayStation 4, unfortunately you cannot. So i decided to look on the PlayStation store to see I recently bought this game after having an obsession over Skate 3 on my PlayStation 3. ![]() It’s better than I Am Bread, that’s for sure.I recently bought this game after having an obsession over Skate 3 on my PlayStation 3. This game is not substantial, but it’s fun. ![]() Or I could find it myself and feel like Link opening a treasure chest when I finally bust that unexpected revert. I could go on youtube, that’s the easy way. Seeing a higher score that is based on an objective computer-generated score means I am not doing something I could be doing. Knowing there is a higher score forces me too examine all aspects of the game for places to eke out more points. I know if I keep playing, I will achieve greatness. I guess I’m playing for the good feeling of eventuality. You hear it over and over and it gets stuck in your brain while the muscle memory builds. I can’t define the music, but it’s always part of a flow experience in a game like THPS. The music is always good and it loops through a substantial enough playlist that you don’t get tired of it. I’m also playing because the aesthetic is simple but it pleases me. Why did I like THPS? It gave you a flow feeling when you were executing combos just right, and getting a high score felt fantastic (until you went online and looked up leaderboards). Maybe then I can truly be gud enough to enjoy the game and get high leaderboard scores.īut that’s not why I’m playing at all! I’m playing because it reminds me of THPS, for one. A game that goads you every step of the way with how much more you could be achieving.īut, I’ll keep striving to get through the game’s campaign. You have visual assistance.” What an asshole. “If only you could execute the sequence of buttons correctly. The leaderboards demand perfection when they stare you in the face. Restarting a level is instantaneous, a dangerous thing for my addiction-prone mind. What I do looks good, but I’m not with “it” anymore. ![]() I played a lot of OlliOlli! Enough to git gud. Olli Olli 2 expects this of you if you want to ascend to its higher plane, the roller coaster levels which are better built for platforming than skating, or at least that’s what I want to believe. If you played your cards right, you could make your combo last the entire level due to manuals and reverts. This game is much more difficult than the original for the reason Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and THPS 3 were so different. “You’re going to be doing a lot of nose manuals if you ever want to be good at this game.” There’s a substantial amount of friction there too, which hints at the reverts.
